Simple ab workouts

The simplest ab work out is the ab vacuum. This strengthens and tones your abs by using isometrics. It is so simple that it can be done while you are standing in line at the grocery store or anywhere else you have a few minutes to kill. Basically, you are just going to suck your stomach in like you would at the beach when someone sexy walks by.

Start by sucking your belly button as far back as you can and hold it for ten to twenty seconds before releasing. Pretty simple right?

Now, let’s talk about the reason that you want a simple work out. You probably don’t have a lot of time to spend to get in shape right? Well, I’ve got a secret for you. Ab workouts will strengthen your ab muscles but people rarely see the results because of the fat they carry around their midsection.

An even simpler way of revealing your abs is to increase your resting metabolism rate so that you are burning more calories throughout the day. To show off your abs men need to be below 10% body fat and women need to be below 16%. The average person burns 2000 calories in a day and a pound of fat is 3,500 calories. So if you lowered your caloric intake to 1500 a day it would take you 7 days to burn a pound of fat.

Here are some other simple ways to raise your metabolism so you burn more calories in a day.

Drink green tea and take cayenne pepper capsules. Both of these foods have been found to increase the body’s resting metabolism rate so that you burn more calories over a longer period of time.
