Ab workouts from home

Great abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym so it is appropriate that you are working out from home. But, because great abs are made in the kitchen and not the gym, let’s start by talking about nutrition.

You can do all the exercise in the world and it will not matter if you are eating poorly. Recent surveys have shown that America is the most obese country in the world with English speaking countries like the UK and Australia in the top ten. One of the main reasons for this is all the highly processed and overly refined foods that we consume.

Prepackaged processed foods are designed for two things, to have a long shelf life and make people fat. There is no need to go on a diet. Simply change your eating habits. Eat fresh foods like vegetables and fruit. Eat fish and chicken and lean beef. Diets are designed to fail because they are meant to be temporary. If you fundamentally change your eating habits you will never have to go on a diet again.

Now let me tell you a secret that not too many people know. The real trick of getting a nice set of abs is to lower your overall body fat percentage to less than 10% for men and 16% for women. Even though ab workouts firm and strengthen the ab muscles the results are usually never seen because those muscles are hidden by a layer of fat. The following exercises will not only workout all the muscles in your body but increase your metabolism for days after so that you are burning more fat: Military Press, Clean and jerk, Dead lift, Squats, Romanian dead lift, Lunges.
You can do these exercises with a pair of dumbbells or nothing more than the weight of your own body.
