Daily exercise suggestions

Are you just starting to get back into shape and need some suggestions on what to do on a daily basis? Sometimes it can be difficult to find the time even though you’ve got the motivation. So let’s talk about ways to make the most of your exercises and fit them into your busy day.

Cardio
Think you have to spend an hour on the treadmill every day to lose weight? While, it is true, the longer you spend on the treadmill the more calories you will burn. You can actually increase your metabolism (and burn more calories throughout the day) by doing 10 short sprints a day. Try doing 10 50 – 100 meter dashes for 20 – 30 minutes a day and you will burn more calories even when you are watching TV.

Weight lifting
Don’t have time to go to the gym? Do you need to fit your exercise into the nooks and crannies of your day while the kids are napping? No problem. By doing compound exercises with just your body weight or a pair of dumbbells you can, again, increase your metabolism and improve your shape. Compound exercises are those that work more than one muscle group at a time. The most beneficial are as follows: Bench press, squats, deadlift, Romanian deadlift, lunges, military press and clean and jerk. This may sound intimidating but, remember you can do all these exercises by starting out with your body weight and you don’t have to do them all at once or even on the same day.

During each day you have pockets of time that go unused. If you think about it you can find creative ways to implement these exercises and be seeing the difference in your appearance fairly quickly. If you would like to find out more about these exercises and nutrition as well Click Here!
