How to get flat abs in two days

Flat abs in two days? That’s a pretty big request, isn’t it? Well, let me do you one better. Viola! You’ve already got flat abs! they are just hiding behind a curtain of body fat. The trick now becomes to reveal what’s hiding behind the curtain. Fortunately for you the best way to do this does not involve diets or lots of sit ups or even lots of running. It involves increasing your rate of metabolism so that you are burning fat at a faster rate throughout the day. By increasing your metabolism to burn away the body fat down to a level that your already flat abs can be seen by the world. This means under 10% fat for men and under 16% for women.

One of the other best ways of increasing your overall rate of metabolism is to do weight lifting exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the same time. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn. But, if you do exercises such as the clean and jerk, bench press and dead lift you will be increasing your metabolism and burning more calories than you would have otherwise. The best exercises to get flat abs are not sit ups or crunches. They aren’t the elliptical or stairmaster. They are the Bench press, Dead lift, Romanian dead lift, Clean and jerk, Military press, Lunges, Squats and, last but not least, sprints.

Confused? Well, here’s the story. All of these exercises, except sprints, are what are know as compound exercises. These exercises work multiple muscle groups at the same time which has the effect of increasing your resting rate of metabolism so that you are burning more calories during the day. They also serve to strengthen your core or torso muscles in general meaning your back and that thing on the other side of your back…your abs. Oh, I forgot to mention that the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn throughout the day. The more fat you burn throughout the day, the sooner the flat abs that you already have will be revealed to the world!

I thought I had to spend lots of time running long distances to burn calories. Well, let’s talk about sprints now. It’s true, running long distances does burn more calories than sprinting short distances. This should not be neglected. However, doing ten 100 meter sprints will serve to increase your metabolism just as doing the exercises above. This is because anaerobic exercises (weight training, sprinting) cause your body to react to the exertion you put forth for hours after you are done. This raises your metabolism and, consequently, burn more fat.
