How to get 6 pack abs

Have you been doing sit ups, stomach crunches and leg lifts like crazy and still haven’t seen your 6 pack abs? This is the case with most people. They focus on their ab muscles to get results. However, I’m about to tell you a secret. Their efforts are misdirected. To get 6 pack abs you need to burn body fat. A man needs to be below 10% and a woman needs to be below 16% in order to begin to see their abs and ab exercises simply don’t do too much to burn fat.

The exercises you really want to concentrate on are compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups, increase your resting metabolism rate and burn more fat. These are exercises like the bench press for your chest and arms. The military press for your shoulders and upper body. The clean and jerk for your hamstrings, back, forearms and shoulders. There are a few others, but this should give you the idea. The thing with these compound exercises is that while they are working their main muscle groups they are also working your body core which includes your abs.

The other thing you will want to do is to develop a cardio routine which includes wind sprints. Why wind sprints? Well, even though you burn more calories by running long distances wind sprints increase your metabolism rate so that you are getting more out of the rest of your cardio routine.

There are some other secrets to burning fat to reveal those 6 pack abs that you’re hiding. And it deals with what you eat and drink. Did you know that cayenne pepper and green tea increase your metabolism? It’s true. So, buy some cayenne pepper capsules and brew some green tea. But, none of this is going to do you any good if you’ve got poor nutrition. Stay away from highly processed food and soda, Eat lean meat and fruits and veggies.
