Flatten your stomach workouts

Looking for a workout to flatten your stomach? Let’s think about that. If you want to flatten your stomach it must mean you’ve got something protruding from it, like fat. This is the case with most people. The problem is that typical stomach workout like sit ups and crunches don’t actually remove the fat. They build muscle under the fat, but then do little to reduce the fat that would result in a flat stomach.

This is due to a number of reasons. First, you cannot spot reduce fat on your stomach any more than you can under your chin. You need to reduce your overall body fat percentage. Second, even if you could spot reduce fat, typical stomach workouts don’t burn a lot of calories.

To reduce fat we need to burn calories. To do this we need a workout that is going to cause your body to exert a lot of calories. These are workouts like dumb bell snatches and dead lifts, squats, bench presses and clean and presses. These are compound exercises that give you an all over body workout. They also have some other benefits as well, they build muscle and the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn. They also put your body into a metabolic shift so that you are burning calories for many days after the exertion of the workout.

A lot of people do cardio exercises as well to burn fat. It is common sense to think that if you run a longer distance you will burn more calories than if you run a few sprints. This is true. However, sprints have the same effect as the weight exercises above. They cause your body to go into a metabolic shift. So, if you mix sprints with long distance you will be burning even more calories than by running distances alone. If you would like to know more Click Here!
