Sexy ab workouts

Are you looking for a great workout to get those sexy abs you see on movie stars and models? Have you tried doing sit ups and crunches, leg lifts and knee lifts without much success? Well, the way to get those sexy abs is actually fairly easy. It’s just that most people misdirect their efforts.

First, to get a nice set of sexy abs you need to burn the fat away from your midsection. The problem with sit ups and other ab exercises is that they do not actually burn that many calories and, if they did, you can’t spot reduce fat on your body. To burn the fat away from your midsection you need to burn the fat from your entire body as well.

There are a number of great ways to do this. They take less time than you are probably spending in the gym already and they are all very surprising.

Let’s take a look at cardio first. Cardio burns fat, this is correct. The longer the distance you run, the more fat you will burn. This is true as well. However, did you know that sprinting actually increases your resting rate of metabolism so that you are burning calories even after your workout is over. You can spend less time doing ten 100 meter dashes and burn more calories over the course of a week.

Now, let’s take a look at weight lifting because the more muscle you have the more calories you will burn. A lot of people make the mistake of concentrating on individual muscle groups like the bicep and the pectorals. Like sit ups, these types of exercises don’t burn a lot of calories. To burn lots of calories you need to incorporate more of your body in the work out. Instead of curls and flies do dumb bell snatches and dead lifts. Do military presses and renegade rows.
